Drinksdatabasen respects your privacy. We want to be transparent about the personal data we process, why we process it, which cookies we use, and the rights you have. This policy covers all of drinksdatabasen.dk, including user profiles, recipes, comments, favourites and drink cards.

When you use Drinksdatabasen — whether you simply browse recipes or create an account — we process information about you. We only collect what is necessary to run the site and give you a good experience, and we never sell your data.

  • Recipes you create, submit or have approved

  • Favourite recipes you save
  • Drink cards you create, save or export

4. Purposes of processing

We process your data in order to:

  • Create and manage your user profile
  • Let you save favourite drinks
  • Let you create and submit your own recipes
  • Let you create and save drink cards
  • Moderate content, including recipes and comments
  • Send newsletters where you have given consent
  • Improve the website, content and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and ensure security and stable operations

6. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are used to remember your choices and to keep you signed in, among other things.

  • Technically necessary cookies are used so the website can function (login, security and remembering your consent). They do not require consent.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you have given your consent.
  • You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.

7. Newsletter

  • We do not currently send a newsletter, and no signup is offered on the site.
  • If we start sending one, signup will require your active consent — we never subscribe you automatically.
  • You will always be able to unsubscribe and withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

8. Sharing with third parties

We only share data with suppliers (processors) who process it on our instructions under a data processing agreement. We never sell your data.

9. Storage and deletion

  • We store your data for as long as your profile is active.
  • You can request deletion, or delete your profile yourself in settings.
  • Some data may be kept longer if required by law (e.g. accounting records).
  • Content you have published yourself (e.g. approved recipes and comments) may be anonymised rather than deleted where necessary to keep the site coherent.
